A Different Way To Enjoy Your Coffee

Who doesn’t miss the luxury of going out to a coffee shop with friends or by yourself and enjoying an iced coffee while the rest of the world buzzes in front of you? I definitely do. I miss those days when I would drive to the outdoor mall near us and walk around, pick up an iced coffee and sit in the sun, soaking in some Vitamin D, enjoying the day.

Things have really changed now… Though to be honest, I have actually been loving sitting out in our balcony and looking out into the world in front of us. The flowers I’ve planted, the clear blue sky with the sun shinning brightly and the beautiful mountain we see a glimpse of from our balcony which is sometimes covered in a layer of white snow. Staying home and avoiding going out has really made me appreciate the tiny things in life that brings me joy now that I take the time to look at them and enjoy my daily coffee out on our balcony.

I guess the point of me writing this is that I want to encourage you to switch out that coffee-shop coffee you used to order on the way to work or whilst walking around town, and to make a cup of your own at home. Instead of being sad about not being able to enjoy things the way you used to, Β take 10 minutes out of your day to enjoy the view you have from your own home and the comfort of being safe and sound under your roof. It has done wonders for me and I have been enjoying some quality “balcony time” everyday for the past few days. I can’t imagine not continuing to do so going forward.

I also can’t preach enough about the coffee machine Jonas picked out for our home here- the Breville Barista Express, which makes the most amazing espresso shots from the delicious freshly roasted coffee beans he purchased at Klatch. When I crave an iced coffee nowadays, I simply make a double-shot espresso, pour it on ice in our gorgeous Godinger Dublin Crystal Glass and top it off with a French Vanilla Creamer if I’m feeling fancy. Absolutely delicious and much better than an iced coffee from town!

I would love for you to share in the comments how you like your coffee and how you have been enjoying it whilst staying at home nowadays. Do you drink it out on your balcony or patio as well? Let me know! πŸ™‚
