Recipe: Morning Maca Mocha Smoothie

Smoothies are a great way to start your day! They’re light, refreshing, packed with nutrients and can be so personalised. Whether you enjoy a smoothie as a quick breakfast in the morning to kick-start your day, as a pre-workout or a post-workout snack, or even as a mid-day pick-me-up, then this smoothie may be just for you.

With natural energy boosting properties coming from Maca Powder and the caffeine and a delicious Mocha flavour coming from coffee and Cacao Powder, this smoothie will have you feeling energised and fuelled for the day ahead.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup strong coffee or 1 shot of espresso
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon Cacao Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Maca Powder
  • 1/2 cup milk or dairy-free milk alternative
  • Optional- Cacao Nibs for topping

Procedures: 

  1. Prepare a strong cup of coffee or espresso and let it cool down for a couple of minutes.
  2. Place all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend for 1 minute or until smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass (sprinkle with some Cacao Nibs if you would like) and enjoy!
