An Evening in Paris

On Saturday, Jonas and I took a flight from Vilnius to Paris for the night as we were on our way to Limoges (where we are now for the next 2 weeks). I will do a bit of an update post as to what we’re doing here soon along with our honeymoon and wedding planning posts, but as we were in Paris for just one evening and didn’t take too many photos or visited too many places, I thought I would update you on our Paris adventure first!

I had been to Paris a few times before, but haven’t been in about 8 or 9 years. Jonas on the other hand, had never been to Paris before, so it was really exciting to go together and enjoy it even for a night!

We landed around 4pm, so by the time we got to our hotel in Gare de Lyon, it was 6:30pm. We stayed at the Citizen M hotel, which was so cool – it was very futuristic, included a smart room and had great staff.

After we checked in, we took the metro to the Eiffel Tower, where we walked around and enjoyed the monumental view. It was quite busy, but definitely less busy than I had remembered it from ages ago. The weather was perfect as well- it was warm, but not too hot and luckily, all the photos we took with my phone (as my camera had no battery) turned out great!

Having walked around the Eiffel tower and the Trocadero square, we made our way to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, where we stopped for dinner and a glass of Champagne.

As the night was setting in and we were both quite tired after a lot of walking around- we went back to the metro and made our way to the hotel.

It was a quick evening in Paris, but definitely one we will both remember. The city of love… we can’t wait to go back later in September for a long weekend!
