Sunday Breakfast Before the Holidays

Hey everyone! So this past Sunday I went out to breakfast with my friend Gabija before her flight back home to Lithuania. I’m flying out later this week and am absolutely excited- can’t wait to have some time off from work and be back in Lithuania with all my friends and family!

We met up on Sunday for a rather early brunch, so that we have enough time the rest of the day to get other things done. I still had a few presents to get and a few appointments, so needed to fuel myself for the day ahead. We went to our beloved Ivy Castle View in Guildford, which was so quiet when we arrived and got packed by the time we left!

As you know, I’ve been there multiple times but it never gets old. We even said, when we both come back from the holidays we will have to go there for a girl’s night and some drinks.

We both got a cappuccino and I also got an immunity boost smoothie, which consisted of apple, banana, avocado, lemon, ginger, turmeric, echinacea, black pepper and cayenne! After working outside all day the day before and getting quite cold, I really enjoyed this vitamin C-rich smoothie. Love the combination of ginger, turmeric and cayenne- it definitely woke me up alongside the coffee I had 🙂

For our food, Gabija got the Egg’s Royale- which is absolutely divine (I’ve had it before) and I got the Folded Ham & Cheese Omelette- never had it before and it was amazing! So delicious and filling, I didn’t finish all of it- but definitely a lovely warming breakfast to have if you ever go to the Ivy!

After our lovely breakfast Gabija set off to pack her bags for her flight the following day and I went and did the remainder of my Christmas Shopping. It was nice to get everything done and enjoy the rest of Sunday 🙂

Let me know in the comments what you got up to this past weekend and if you’re going anywhere during the holidays! 🙂
