Anniversary Brunch

Last week Jonas and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary! Wow, time flies fast!

We both took the day off from work, as it was a Tuesday and wanted to spend the entire day together. We didn’t have any special plans for the day, but we did go for an anniversary brunch at the Ivy in Guildford. We absolutely love this place, as you may have noticed from my Instagram feed. We go there for pretty much every occasion πŸ™‚ . So when we were thinking where to go for a celebratory breakfast, it was a quick decision from both of us.

We slept in a bit and headed off for brunch, where we ate to our heart’s desire. We started with some mini pastries which came with fresh butter and jam. It was a nice little starter for us to share as we both love pastries and having mini ones between the two of us was really nice and made sure we weren’t stuffed πŸ™‚

Jonas had fresh grapefruit juice whilst I enjoyed a nice and refreshing Peach & Elderflower Iced Tea. For our mains we went for quite similar choices- Jonas got the Egg’s Royale- a smoked salmon take on Egg’s Benedict, whilst I got the Avocado and Spinach Benedict. Both were absolutely delicious and we highly recommend them! I must say, they also look beautiful on the plate.

We enjoyed our brunch and then went around town for a lovely walk. The rest of the day we relaxed at home together and finished up the evening with a platter of various meats, cheeses, veggies and bread as well as a delicious bottle of cold Champagne for the occasion πŸ™‚ I also gave Jonas an anniversary present a few days before as it came in the post and I couldn’t hide it any longer. His present is apparently a joined on with my birthday which is this Friday, but I will be getting/experiencing it later September – can’t wait to see what it is! πŸ™‚

Have a lovely week and speak soon! xx
