A Lunch Date for Two at The Ivy

After a week of being home alone, Jonas finally came back from a conference in the US 🙂 To celebrate this and my day off on Monday, we went out to the Ivy Castle View in Guildford for a celebratory lunch.

The weather was absolutely beautiful- hot and sunny and we were both a bit tired as he hadn’t slept at all on the flight whilst I was out with a few friends quite late the night before. After a nap at home before our lunch date we set off to the Ivy Castle View. As you may recall- we went there a couple of weeks ago where we enjoyed a lovely sunny lunch and I ended up writing a review on the restaurant. I mentioned I absolutely loved it there so no wonder we went back 🙂 As we were both not extremely hungry we decided to get the set menu of 2 dished and enjoyed a cocktail each rather than going all out!

I ordered my beloved drink from last time – an English Spritz, while Jonas got a Gin Rickey. We both then ordered the Roast Salmon which came with Red pepper, olive and chimichurri fregola, lemon and baby basil, shared some Truffle and Parmesan Chips and finished off with the Dark chocolate Mousse with raspberries and a salted crunchy peanut caramel topping! Although it may look boring that we both got the exact same things, we were both VERY pleased with the meal and highly recommend you check out their set menu next time you’re there. An incredible deal (£16.50 for 2 dished or £21.00 for 3)!
