So I haven’t done a what I ate Wednesday post in forever, but to be honest it was because they were getting a bit repetitive and boring! So instead- I’ll save photos from special days or restaurant visits and share them on these posts in the future, rather than just a random day of the week! I hope you guys like this one- it’s quite outdated, but its a day from NYC! I loved the food we had there so I knew I wanted to do a NYC what I ate post!
We started our day without feeling hungry so actually fueled up with coffee! I had an iced americano, which was perfect in the new york summer heat!
For lunch we stopped at Pret, which was quite nice to see a familiar cafe! I loved their menu as well- it was a bit different from the one in the UK. I ended up having a falafel and hummus salad with a sparkling pink grapefruid drink. The salad was so delicious and so filling- I wasn’t able to finish it all!
After checking out the One World Trade Center Observatory, we stopped by Dominque Ansel! I did a whole review on the bakery, so if you want to see an in-depth description click here! I had a cookie shot (amazing!) and the blackberry/hazelnut pavlova!
For dinner we met up with Egle and went to Margherita in little italy. We shared a plate of antipasti, which had prosciutto, salami, olives and burrata! With a side of fresh sourdough bread, it was divine! We all then ordered sourdough pizzas, and I got the one that had ham, artichokes and olives! So delicious and reminded me quite a bit of Franco Manca!
Also, if you want to see again, what I did while I was in NYC, check out my day 1 and day 2 posts! And if you want to see a video- go check out Paulius’ Youtube channel, where he posted vlogs from days 1 and 2 🙂
until next time ❤
