Clinique moisture surge

With the summer heat taking a toll on our bodies and often causing dehydration, keeping our bodies and skin extra hydrated is crucial! Not only is drinking water one of the most important habits to get into in our day-to-day lives, but making sure we take care of our skin from the outside is also crucial! I’m planning to do a new post about ways of spicing up water to make it more enjoyable to drink, but in the meantime check my old post out here! Apart from drinking water, one other important aspect to keep in mind is correct surface hydration- this means using the right moisturiser day and night! At night I love using the Khiel’s night oil, but during the day I love using the La-Roche Posay Eficlar Duo + which is a wonderful moisturiser. I ran out of it the other day though and when I went into Boot’s I decided to pick up something new and a bit more light for the summer. I got this Clinique Moisture Surge cream. The consistency is a bit gel-like and it leaves the skin feeling silky and smooth- as if you’ve just had a facial. I have only been using it for the past couple of days, but I love what it does for my skin. I normally have combination skin with an oily T-zone but also some dryness and I love how this keeps my skin moisturised but it doesn’t make me oily throughout the day! Clinique also offers a much more rich and thick version for those that have dry skin, but I personally love this one!

When I purchased it I also got a lovely free bottle of water which was just extra cute. It reminded me about how important hydration is inside and out! Although I’ve only been using this moisturised for the past week, I must say I do love it a lot and I highly recommend it!
