Recipe: Chocolate covered strawberries

This recipe is so simple and easy ! It’s probably the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about Valentine’s day dessert! All you need is 2 ingredients and you can make this for that special someone on the 14th of February or even just as a lovely dessert or treat all year round!




1 punnet of Strawberries

200 grams of dark chocolate


1. Wash strawberries thoroughly and allow them to dry completely- any leftover water will prevent the chocolate from attaching nicely and setting smoothly.

2.Melt the chocolate on a double boiler stirring continuously to prevent burning. Once the chocolate has melted – take it off of the double boiler and dip each strawberry by holding onto the stem, coating the strawberry with chocolate.

3. Place the strawberries on some grease-proof paper or cling film and let them harden completely – preferably by putting them in the fridge.

4. Once the chocolate has set- enjoy! It’s as simple as that!
