Recipe: Quick and simple nachos

For a quick and simple nachos recipe, why not try this? It only takes about 20 minutes and is super delicious! Although it’s still a treat, I make sure to make it a bit healthier by choosing good quality low fat cheese, natural tortilla chips and use greek yogurt instead of sour cream.

Recipe: Served 4


1-2 bags of Tortilla chips – try and use healthy ones that contain lots of seeds and wholegrains or just corn

250 g grated low fat mild cheddar cheese

1 cup homemade salsa 

1 cup homemade guacamole 

1 cup natural greek yogurt


  1. Lay out 1/2 the chips flat and sprinkle half the cheese, then add the remaining of the chips and top off with cheese. Bake chips with cheese for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese has melted at 150 degree C to prevent burning.
  2. In the meantime – make homemade salsa and guacamole from my previous recipes or use store bought if you want to.
  3. Once the cheese has melted, remove the tortilla chips from the oven, dollop the salsa, guacamole and greek yogurt on top and enjoy!
