Recipe: Prosciutto Asparagus

I love asparagus and the amazing health benefits it has such as being a great source of fibre, vitamins A, C, E and K and the fact that it is known to contain minerals that enhance glucose transport via insulin from the bloodstream to our cells . I’ve previously posted  a lovely feta asparagus recipe and wanted to share this amazing prosciutto asparagus recipe that I love creating for guests that come over – I especially made tons of these during my lovely break at home!

Recipe: amend amounts depending on how much you want to make

Ingredients:

Asparagus Stalks

Prosciutto (thinly sliced)

Olive oil

Dried basil

Procedure:

1. Wash asparagus and wrap each stalk with a thin slice of prosciutto all throughout the length of the asparagus.

2. Place on a foil lined baking sheet, drizzle with some olive oil and sprinkle with some dried basil – according to how much you want.

3. Place in a 180 degree C oven for 15-20 minutes or until the prosciutto starts to harden and curl up.

4. Transfer to a plate or platter and enjoy! Great both cold and warm!
