This quick, delicious and festive treat is my go-to Christmas sweet! It’s super easy to make and is so delicious – everyone loves it, especially the peppermint mocha or mint/chocolate combination fans! Not only is it lovely to serve as a dessert or with a cup of coffee or tea to your guests, but you can also split them into little bags and hand them out as small presents! 🙂 Enjoy!
Recipe: you can always double or triple up the quantities to make more
Ingredients:
200 g dark chocolate
200 g white chocolate
3 large peppermint flavoured red-white candy canes, crushed
Procedures:
- Melt the dark chocolate on a double boiler, stirring often to prevent burning. Pour the chocolate on a foil-lined baking tray and spread out making an even layer. Let the chocolate harden completely for a couple of hours in a cool place or in your refrigerator.
- Repeat step 1 with white chocolate and quickly pour over the dark hardened chocolate, just be quick to prevent mixing of the two chocolates as the dark starts to melt as well.
- As the white chocolate is still melted, sprinkle with the crushed candy canes evenly and allow the peppermint bark to cool completely again for a couple of hours.
- Once completely hardened – carefully remove from the foil and slice into triangles or squares.
Yum! 🙂
