Hello winter! Hello December and all of it’s festivities. I don’t know about you – but I love this month for many reasons. Obviously – everyone thinks of Christmas and New Years, but to me its much more than that. Both my parents and my amazing brother were born this month and as much as I love christmas, I love celebrating them. Although we see each other only several times a year now- due to the fact that I study in the UK- Christmas is always extra special. We always have our fun traditions (one of them often being me baking and my dad making an amazing lasagna – something I am hoping he will also do this year! :P). We also make sure to set the Christmas days aside to be together- most often at our lake house which I adore. I’m going back home for 3 weeks in 2 weeks time and I can’t wait to relax from such a tough semester at University, leave the UK for a while and most importantly – spend wonderful time with my amazing family and friends.
I hope you are all looking forward to this break as much as I am! I’m lucky that I have no exams in January, but if you do – take at least a couple days off from studying to relax and enjoy the season! I know I will also try and keep busy with writing up by dissertation at least a little bit but also – by writing new blogposts! I’m sorry I have been MIA for a while now, but as a final year student studying Biological Sciences life get’s hectic especially at the end of term when I have tests and deadlines! But be on the lookout – from next week I will try and upload more often! I already have some wonderful Christmas recipes I can’t wait to share with you all.
Until then – enjoy the beginning of this winter season. Spend time with your loved ones, make memories, laugh, enjoy and be happy!
