Recipe: Citrus Green Smoothie

I have recently been craving lots of nutrients and healthy foods as due to moving back into university I have recently been eating not-so healthy food so I came up with this quick and refreshing smoothie that is packed with Vitamin C and actually makes me want to eat more healthy throughout the day. It’s very light so I have something on the side if I make it for breakfast, but it would be a perfect snack or a mid-morning pick-me-up!

Recipe: serves 1

Ingredients:

1 ripe kiwi

1/2 orange

1/2 banana

1 1/2 cups baby spinach

1/2 cup water

Procedures:

  1. Peel the orange, cut in half – set other half aside.
  2. Cut away the skin of the kiwi, or cut in half and spoon out the inside.
  3. Place kiwi, orange, banana, spinach and water into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Add water accordingly depending on the texture you want.

Very light and refreshing!
